Sick As A Dog

Yesterday, I woke up to a sick dog. He had upchucked in several spots. This was NOT good because he was supposed to be going to the groomer. I didn't realize he'd upchucked so many times so I went ahead and took him, thinking it must have been something he ate the night before. When I got back home, and saw all the other spots, I called the groomer to let them know. Thank goodness the grooming is done at a veterinarian's clinic. The vet examined him and gave him a shot. He's now also taking two pills - an antibiotic, and another one to curb the upchucking.
I probably shouldn't have taken him to get groomed, but we're going out of town today and he's going with us. I figured it was just something he ate the night before. I had given him a few bites of grilled pork tenderloin. He's on a fairly strict diet of prescription dog food so we rarely give him tablescraps. I had not given him that much.
He layed around the rest of the day and evening. I was just sure he'd be better by today. But he's still laying around this morning. He got a little excited when he woke up and went over by his treat spot. I gave him a small piece of one, along with his medicine. Now he's back resting. The true test will be when I start to get dressed. That's when he normally gets real excited because I then take him for a walk.
I'd better go get started. I still have lots to do and dealing with a sick dog is not part of my plan. Sure hope he's listening -
