We used to say this when we saw a Volkswagon Beetle. First, we'd punch the arm of whoever we were with, and then we'd say it. Don't ask me why - I was just following the crowd.
What makes me think of this is that my "Very Hungry Bugs" may actually be slugs! We went to a Houston Rockets basketball game with another couple last night. They are in the landscape business and said that's probably the problem. Sure enough, this morning I found slugs on the sidewalk. Disgusting! I'm not a big fan of anything that crawls, with the exception being a baby. So today I went to Wally World and got some SlugBug removal stuff. It was painless to apply as it's a dry ingredient and all I had to do was pour it around the plants. No gloves were needed. No dirt got in my fingernails. It makes me wonder if the stuff will even work.
